WASHINGTON, D.C.: Finnish pianist聽Paavali Jumppanen聽has attracted international attention for his performances of Beethoven鈥檚 Piano Sonatas, and he has also made a special study of French music, ranging from Debussy to Pierre Boulez. In the first half of this concert, he plays Book I of Debussy鈥檚聽笔谤茅濒耻诲别蝉, and ends with Beethoven鈥檚 solo piano works: the聽贬补尘尘别谤办濒补惫颈别谤听Sonata.

The concert accompanies the exhibition Nordic Impressions, which runs through January 13.
